Jagex's other flops (8 Realms and Funorb) were not as successful. While Jagex's other failures (8 realms, Funorb, etc.) might have generated some revenue, I doubt that they covered the costs of development. So, we're subsidizing the costs of those. Runescape is devoid of quests, as the developers are working on other games which aren't played.
Birthright of the Dwarves was launched just two days ago. It's supposed be an exciting and challenging adventure. It's not yet completed for me as I'm not equipped with the requirements. However, most people seem to be having trouble in the boss fight(s).
Jagex is also working on two other quests. "Missing The Presumed Death" involves Sliske as well as Itchlarin (as in Grimreaper) and Death. The quest will be based on Sliske's rivalry' (probably not the best term, as I'm not sure it can be considered as a rivalry, considering that it was until recently that Itchlarin was more powerful, so let's just say that Sliske dislikes Itchlarin a lot) with Itchlarin and Death's disappearance.
This quest can be considered as the evolution and continuation of The World Wakes. It will help us discover whether Sliske was a God or not, and how he acquired the staff at Armadyl. I read they're also working on another quest however I'm unable to recall what it's about. It intrigued me, at the very least, I remember.
